The EMD offers an interesting programme including plenary sessions with keynote speeches, high level panels,, workshops organised by maritime stakeholders, an exhibition with multiple stakeholder stands and much more.

There are plenty of opportunities to connect with your peers, exchange views, showcase your achievements and get up to speed with the latest policy developments in the maritime world.

EMD has not only enabled many project partnerships and co-operations among stakeholders, it has also contributed to getting the need of sustainable management of ocean resources higher on the EU’s agenda.

Stakeholders generally find the European Maritime Day a great opportunity to touch base with strategic partners, to make new contacts and network, get visibility for their projects, ideas, activities and achievements, gain new insights into the evolving EU policy and funding landscape and provide input into European Maritime Policy formulation. 

The EC usually presents the latest developments of European maritime policies during the plenary sessions.

Thematic workshops organised by maritime stakeholders are at the core of the conference. Workshop organisers design and manage their session. 

The EMD exhibition space is an ideal place for stakeholders to meet, exchange experience and discuss the latest developments.
